Hi, not the appropriate place to ask the question but I'm on a tight schedule and don't have time to search for a better one.
I'm just finishing a job on Alderney and may be starting a new one on Guernsey in Jan. Can anyone tell me the legal position regarding detecting there? Are there any other detectorists? (there are only 3 on Alderney- 4 with me).

As far as I know there was a local club in GY but dont have a contact no. for them, the local museum would prob know but
if Reg Mead from Jersey ever comes online he may know as he was in touch with them a few years ago.

Hi,
About to start work on Guern as I mentioned before Xmas, does anyone know what the legal situation is there? I can only find refences to beach detecting. I've done my fair share of that and prefer land although I know in some places this results in public castration. Any advice anyone?
