The Thames !

I know it's been a while since this particular discussion took place but if anyone is interested in the Thames you need to get a licence from the Port of London Authority (PLA). You can get day licences. These are restricted to the south side of the river. The only people allowed on the north side are members of the Society of Thames Mudlarks as we are closely monitored by the BM and the Museum of London. The archaeology is supposed to be on that side although all best finds over the last couple of years have come from the south bank!

Jonathan, the guys you saw on The One Show were Steve 'Mudgod' Brooker and 'Eagle', both mudlarks and Steve runs Thames and Field club on the edge of London. Great club. Check out the website thamesandfield.com
