Beach Detecting Empty Beach Detecting

Post  TaniaLeH Sun Jan 13, 2013 8:07 pm

Just started beach detecting on Friday 11th January been twice found coins on dry sand which my husband and I are happy with. Saw a couple of guys on Sunday 13th January on Gorey beach with detectors heading down to edge of the water. Wanted to know what settings they use. We have a deus metal detector.

Tania you need to read your manual as no one else own a Deus in Jersey, it does have a beach setting having used my mate Micky's in England earlier this year Smile

I should have also asked where is the best place to detect on the beach. We have been in the dry sand but only found clad. Also Can a farmer give permission to more than one person to detect on their property?
